Music wire is widely used for springs and wire forms. Its desired characteristic is high tensile strength that withstands higher stresses under repeated loads. It is the most common of materials selected for spring manufacturing. The fatigue life of music wire is excellent.
It is not recommended for temperatures below 0ºF or above 250ºF. Music wire can be easily plated after forming. We also stock patented music wire in sizes up to .227 with larger diameters available by special order.
